The New York Chronicles: Excitement!

My New York Street-Team Leader just picked up my fliers for my City Winery Show NY on July 2. It feels real now for some reason. It’s been in the distant future for so long. I am happy that the flier says it will “SELL OUT!” Ahhh … The power of words. That one little phrase has boosted my morale like you wouldn’t believe. I have been so worried about ticket sales that I forgot to hope and be positive. I forgot to approach this as an opportunity – a dream come true – a next step. New York. I have fantasized about singing in New York as a headliner in a proper club, and now it is a reality. I hope I don’t screw it up! (haha) I am excited and nervous and filled with anticipation. I am going to New York on Tuesday for 36 hours to scope the room and promote myself at a free outdoor music and wine festival that City Winery NY hosts every Tuesday after work. I think it will do some good. And it will help me make a connection with both the space and the staff.

As always, I am verklempt by the loving support of so many of my friends. They are coming through like my own personal army of angels. God is Good. Stay tuned …
