I went to NYC a month ago to go see some plays on Broadway. We (me & cousins) booked a hotel in the Broadway district – literally around the corner from Times Square. Times Square was always a place I went to “glance at” or “drove through” for a brief moment thinking: “Wow! Look at Times Square – it’s so crazy!”
But this time I lived there for a couple nights and you know what? It was magnificent!!
Yeah, yeah, it was touristy and crowded but it was also magical. There is so much energy there! I got some great images of it. I became obsessed with the giant projections of M & M’s…
It was SO much fun!! Don’t misunderstand me. I’m not suggesting one should forego a trip to the Himalayas to see Times Square, BUT if you are light of heart and can enjoy the frivolity of it all…GO, SEE, take it in!! I will post my favorite images shortly.
By the way we saw “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” with Terrence Howard & James Earl Jones (he is a force of nature) and Lawrence Fishbourne’s one man show: “Thurgood” – I can’t begin to tell you how fantastic it was!!
