It was a good day. I did okay food wise. But my real accomplishment was the exercise. Funny thing, right after I wrote last night’s post I went into the kitchen and was about to finish off some left over quesadillas from the fridge… Oops! But I didn’t eat them. I threw them out! OY! I ran errands today and tried to walk any extra steps I could. It felt good. And the weather was nice too. It felt great to walk around the neighborhood instead of watching the world go by through the window of a taxi.
I came home and I dressed in my work-out clothes – jogging bra and tank top, shorts, athletic socks – the whole get-up. And then I went into my home gym and grabbed my free weights and lifted. Well, first I had to get a wash cloth to clean off the dust – literally. I had to wet down the cloth and wash my free weights! I did arms today – full sets. (We won’t even discuss my exercise ball. I’m gonna have to hose that thing down!) And then I rode my stationary bike hard for 15 minutes. I worked up a sweat, I was out of breath and now I feel like a million bucks.
That was tonight.
Tomorrow is another day.

11/9/10: Aw, the feeling of sore muscles… haven’t had that sensation in years!!!

I have joined a Pilates class every Monday. It is so so hard but they say it is good for my “core”..my back is getting worse yearly. But hey, good for you!! Sore muscles+ Aleve = relief. Don’t let the sore muscles stop you. Keep on going. I keep a workout journal to record how great I feel afterwards–helps with motivation.

I love Pilates. I did private pilates sessions for two years when I lost weight back in 2002-4. I also kept a workout journal – it lets you see how well you progressed and keeps track especially for resistance training. Read my new Gym entries I think i will post it in 2-3 installments.

Keep it goin’. With you in spirit!!
