We are entering the final stretch. My Musical Tribute to Nina Simone at City Winery NY is just a month away. I have gone through all kinds of panic over this show. Mostly, I have been traumatized over ticket sales but I have done much work thus far to promote this show. It has been too early to e-blast folks about a show months away so I have told everyone I know to tell their friends about the show mostly via Social Media. Social Media has become a powerful tool for so many reasons. It …
New York Chronicles: Ticket sales. “Buy Your Tickets Now!”
My New York Club debut is just around the corner. I am performing my Nina Simone tribute on Tuesday, July 2 at City Winery NY. $15. I have 300 seats to fill. Today, my niece texted me. "30 tickets sold!" I was not very enthused even though the placement of her exclamation point seemed to express excitement. I was filled with a mild panic. No one is coming. Back to the Drake Hotel
Well, I guess it wasn't just me and my loved one's opinion. Lynne Jordan & a Trio of Shivers done good. The Drake has booked us for Friday nights through June and July. Wow. This is the start of my cabaret show development. If I do this right and don't screw up (meaning I keep bringing in the new material) I could really create some magic here. …
Go See: New York, I Love You.

The texture of this film was grittier, more... you know... New York. There were some repeat of themes: married couples role playing, a child care person's life as servant vs. their own world, love, and the city. New York seemed so full and so alive. …
