June 16, 2009 By //  by Lynne Jordan

I never laughed out loud so much in my life in a theater! By the time this flick was over we (the audience) were like a family. The Hangover is a buddy adventure film filled with goofs, slapstick while at the same time proves to be is a very smart funny film. Man, are we glad to be in on the fun! The …

Some Great Gigs!! Weddings, Corporate Events, Clubs…

June 3, 2009 By //  by Lynne Jordan

We have had some fabulous gigs lately. It's been a real pleasure these past few weeks. Everyone has been in the mood to party! I notice it now more than ever before. Maybe because spring has sprung, or Obama is President, or people are just feeling optimistic but our audiences have been so enthusiastic. Of course I might add that the band is sounding better than ever these days, especially with the horn arrangements that Kenny Anderson (on trumpet) has been creating! Anyway, I am so happy …

I’m thinking a Jazz Cd

June 2, 2009 By //  by Lynne Jordan

Hell, if Queen Latifah could do it, why not me? Just cause I couldn't recall a few lyrics don't mean I can't record a Jazz cd. Ha! Gotta start cramming up on my lyrics. Or maybe I will just record songs that I like and feel regardless of their genre. I am a very versatile singer and can sing most styles really well so I gotta just do what I do best... and showing versatility ain't a bad thing. Cassandra Wilson does it, Ledisi and Queen Latifah. Natalie Cole has had two careers: soul & Jazz …

Child Prodigy

May 31, 2009 By //  by Lynne Jordan

You've seen them: pre-pubescent youths graduating with top marks from MIT or Harvard; sitting in the guest's seat chatting with David Letterman; playing violin with some symphony orchestra; being annoyingly cute and precocious. Well, I met one. She is seven year old Emily Bear, a piano virtuoso in training, with a resume that is outta sight. …
