We must not let the horrors of humanity ruin us. There is so much negativity buzzing around us, so much hate and lack of empathy - yet there is more than a small bit of good still out there. We create it every time we show empathy for others. There is no sense in what has happened in Las Vegas. We must feel the shock, the horror of it. There is only the choice to pray (for non-believers, prayer can be a meditation or wish of goodwill), hope, and search for the goodness in all of us remaining as …
Fighting Despair as We Face a Trump Presidency.
I am at a loss for words regarding today's transition in the White House. As I face the exit of President Barack Obama and his lovely family, I am fighting the urge to fall into despair. I have heard from many friends who are dreading this new presidency with an overwhelming sense of fear and trepidation. Many refer to Trump's presidency as "the end of the world." We are forced to endure a "wait and see" approach to this whole deal. I keep trying to fathom a glimmer of something other than …
The New President.

But, even as the real haters of the world continue to threaten us, and challenge our joy of life, I will continue to love and hope. I wish us all safe travels and enjoyment as the Holiday Season approaches. I can't help but think of a verse from my Mother's favorite Psalm 23:4 "Yea, though I walk through …
Love and Peace. (My Thoughts after the Second Paris Attack)
It's Sunday morning and I have nothing to complain about and much to be thankful for. Blessed Be! Love and Peace is what is important to us all. And sharing the burden of mourning for ALL who have suffered is what we should be doing. You can politicize and lay blame all you want. It serves no purpose bcause it distracts us from the truth. People are suffering and it is our duty to empathize, pray, meditate and/or chant for Love and Peace to find the troubled spirits amongst us on this planet. …
