Get On The Bus.

December 14, 2010 By //  by Lynne Jordan

Y'all know about my taxi thing. I love taking taxis and it allows me to dawdle and depart 15 minutes before any appointment and get there on time. Thank you Lake Shore Drive. But taking the bus seems so proletariat and so fiscally responsible. Yes, my dears, these economic times call for drastic measures! I say …

The Party

July 5, 2010 By //  by Lynne Jordan

I woke up on July 4th bright eyed and bushy tailed. I had a lovely breakfast (room service) and got ready to go downstairs for our 1pm pick up for soundcheck. I couldn't wait for the guys to see the grounds and the Ambassador's house. We pull up to the gate and of course get stopped by security. I was told yesterday that once we pass those gates we are on American soil - in the middle of Canada. It's a crazy concept. This international, embassy, diplomatic, foreign borders is heady stuff. …

Terminal 5, O’Hare International Airport

February 4, 2010 By //  by Lynne Jordan

O’Hare International Airport has one of the worst international terminals ever when it comes to shopping and eating. I would have never noticed had it not been for the fact that I needed to purchase a set of noise reduction headphones. This whole thing started because I was misled by the giggling receptionist at Best Buy the night before: RING, RING… someone picks up Burst of hysterical laughing followed by indiscernible talking then: Best Buy Hancock Center, Markita speaking…background …

What’s that sound outside my window?

December 22, 2009 By //  by Lynne Jordan

A familiar rhythmic scraping sound penetrated my dreams. It kept going on and on: "What the heck is it?" Are the stockings hung by the chimney with care? Nah. There are stockings hanging around here but not with care! I roll over. My alarm hasn't even gone off to start my on again - off again -snooze button game! …
