October 31, 2009 By //  by Lynne Jordan

Well, I'm just gonna carry the puppet around on my arm and when people ask : "Who are you supposed to be?" I'll just thrust him (puppet) forward, shake it around and scream. So, I made a video of the... uh.. effect! Ha! It's bad but I had to share it!! LOL I even joined You Tube and posted it!! check it out: …

Describe the funniest, cleverest and/or most memorable Halloween Costume you ever saw!

October 26, 2009 By //  by Lynne Jordan

I saw a huge (tall & muscular) barefoot black man in a diaper (with baby bonnet and bottle) running around the Green Dolphin Street night club on Boom Boom Room night. I asked him who he was... he pulled out a photo of Madonna, pointed at it and said in a baby voice: "MA-MA" It was right after Madonna had adopted her little baby from Malawi. I almost died laughing! Please share some of your most memorable Halloween costume memories! …

Obama & Sykes lighten up White House Correspondents’ Dinner

May 10, 2009 By //  by Lynne Jordan

Just watched forty-nine minutes of video on C-Span.org. It was a broadcast of the program portion of the White House Correspondents Dinner. The event's participants is part A-List (there was a red carpet) part hard journalists', part scholarship program (more than a dozen college students in journalism were recipients) and very crowded. It looked like fun to me. Our President Barack Obama released his wickedly funny self but the true hag was my girl Wanda Sykes... …

Ebertfest – Day One

April 23, 2009 By //  by Lynne Jordan

There are some basic survivor strategies that one must know when one comes to Ebertfest. I attended Ebertfest 2005 with my BFF Avis who was a big editor at the Chicago Sun Times and friend of Roger, so we had VIP-this and Press-that. But being a lone Cougar I had only the upgrade of Festival Pass which gives me early access to seating (general seating) before the single ticket holders. However, one must arrive very early to get the best seat cause there seemed to have been several hundred …

A gig tonight

April 18, 2009 By //  by Lynne Jordan

And in these lean times, a gig tonight is a very good thing!! We are doing a private school fundraiser. We have done this event now for about five years. In fact, this is the school that President Obama's girls (Malia and Sasha) attended since pre-school and He & First Lady Michele Obama have attended this event every year …
