Today I can see my way out of anything. Today I feel fully renewed and full of promise. It feels natural like a force of Nature. I have been such a cave woman for the past few years – never seeing the light of day. But not today. I got up and swept off the porch, pulled out my pots and planting implements. I am even thinking of planting a garden for real this time. I need to put my hands in dirt, my toes in sand and my soul into the Universe. I feel like singing!!
I am sitting in my office with the patio doors open, a breeze is blowing in and I am wearing sandals. The sun is shining. Everyone is happy. Folks are walking down the street smiling and saying “hello” to strangers. Birds are singing, squirrels are chasing each other up and down trees, dogs are barking, cats are lounging in the warm embrace of the sun and I am so filled with joy that it scares me. I got 2Pac rapping in a cool deep rhythmic chant in the background and life is good.
Spring 2010 is looking good already.

As we get wind and snow tonight, I can relate to your blog. I traditionally love winter, the fireplace, the ability to cook warm things, the snowshoeing, the snow falling, the BOOTS and SWEATERS! But we have had quite the winter here and I am ready to enjoy some– just some smidgen of spring. Let it come slowly and not race to the 90’s inside of a week.So glad ya’ll are having good weather. Seize it.
Lynne
Oh Lord!!! what city is that? sounds like chicago! Everyone is cautiously enjoying this weather and waiting for the other shoe to drop. 80 degrees on friday could turn to 40 degrees in the same 24 hour period!! Let me go check our forecasts for next week and get back to you!
Lynne
Well, it looks like 70 degrees through Tuesday then temps drop to the low 50’s through the latter part of the week…
Low of 44 degrees tonight – the high was high 50’s!! We could still get a snow flurry before the month is out!

OK! Great to hear.
I used to work plenty of late nights and overnights in the hotel industry. I liked it fine, but sometimes I missed out on lots of other important things. Effort is required to make the most of life.
Lynne
Definitely! I am glad to hear from someone who can relate! As much as I enjoyed having my days free to be a bum, I wished I had used them to go to the beach or something really fun like that!

Worked a graveyard shift for awhile and really appreciated the significance of a good nights sleep. Or any sleep.
We (in Nevada) are slowly creeping up to 50’s but the nights are in the 20’s.
Had 5 inches of snow Sunday night.
Lynne
It’s cold and rainy here. mid forties to fifties. I knew it wouldn’t last!! Regarding sleeping… I have been pretty good about getting to sleep before 5AM lately… seriously.
