I experienced the most wonderful piece of theater ever. I went to see “Seanachai’s Theatre’s” Fall production entitled “Mojo Mickybo.” It is a two person piece- no sets, no backdrops – just pure dynamic tour de force acting in an intimate setting (38 seats). I have never seen so much energy and brilliance performed live before my eyes in ages!!
THE CAST
Mojo: Robert Kauzlaric
Mickybo: Dan Waller
The actors transition like acrobats (sometimes literally) between 17 different characters. I kept thinking to myself:
“These guys should be movie stars!”
I wanted to applaud the direction (Director: Jeff Christian) almost as hard as the actors. Amazing!! Bravo Seanachai!
You have to experience this wonderful piece of Chicago Theater!
Seanachai’s website says:
Like their heroes Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, it’s wee lads Mojo and Mickybo against the world in this bittersweet tale of innocence lost. Two actors play 17 characters in Owen McCafferty’s rollicking and poignant thrill ride through 1970 Belfast.
