New Baby

This is my first document on my new computer. ( a laptop) It is really like bringing home a baby.  Well, it is for me.  I feel like a new parent.  I’ve never ever worked on a laptop before. It is an adjustment: a whole new world, with one important difference – – babies are less fragile than this macbookpro, and unlike a human infant, I can leave this computer in a box on the floor, or set upon my table unattended for hours or days on end!

 But still, the possibility of error with my new gorgeous machine seems endless. However, I love the mobility of writing in front of the teley or in my bed a la Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City!!

Big Step: I figured out how to connect my new baby to my pre existing internet connection via the airport (wha?)!! I turned “sharing” on and magically my desktop computer’s name showed up!!

 Next step: Starbucks with my new laptop & computer bag!! Oh boy, hope I can figure out how to connect there!! I assume its easy… right?  I just want to get a headstart before my foray into cafe writing in Amsterdam!!  Just like the deep end, I’m jumping in!!

I never knew what a technological chicken shit I was until now!!
