Yep, drinking until 6A.M. with “twenty-somethings” was no problem for me. I was pumped after the gig and it was only One A.M. But I knew that the Skybar was closed and Zigis said that Bites Blues Club was closed also. Well, we pull up and see that the lights are on in the club. Bites is open!
Cool, I’ll have one drink before I retire for the night.
Ha!
After everyone tried on my wings – the ladies gifted me a pair of my very own –
and we posed for photos,
Five hours later I crawled across the street to the Albert Hotel kicking myself for having stayed out for so long. I deeply regretted it – kinda. Thank goodness I was just drinking potent Latvian beer and not bourbon or something crazy like Tequila!
I dragged my ass home. Zigis told me to call him for day Two of sightseeing. Oy!
Well, I stayed in bed all day. I finally woke up to the Cartoon Network on the teley.
It turned out that Zigis was sick as a dog. He had mentioned that his wife was really sick on Wednesday night and so I guess he got infected. He slept all day too. Perfect! We both needed to to stay in bed. I wasn’t hungover, just exhausted. But I got the required rest to perform. I got up in plenty of time to go over the set lists, shower and “diva-up” for the gig.
Up next: the first gig at Bites Blues Club…
