Facebook

In the past two days I have expressed my lack of enthusiasm about Facebook. I went on and on about how I did not like Facebook because of all of it’s apps and silliness. I just didn’t get it. I get it now. It’s not nearly as clutterred as myspace and as my BFF Andrea Love noted, people have to use their real name. You aren’t bombarded with goofy code names and nonsense.

Don’t misunderstand me. I LOVE myspace still but I just spent the best weekend of my internet social networking life reconnecting with old friends from college through Facebook. I just ignored the “be a vampire,” “send good karma,” “be a secret agent” – crap and communicated with long lost friends…

I got so inspired and motivated. Some of my friends are doing amazing things. One particular friend non chalantly informed me of his latest career coup…
I wrote him:
ME: So Dave, what are you up to these days?
Dave: I’ve been writing.
ME: Cool, what have you been writing?
Dave: Well, the neatest project I did was to adapt High School Musical for the stage for Disney. It’s been touring for over a year now.
[to myself: NO SHIT!] ME: Wow, that’s… amazing…

Dave was always a very clever boy.

I also found a friend (Claire) who wrote a one woman show about a woman obsessed with her Francie doll – “Barbie’s Cousin.”

There is so much creativity out there! I feel good! I’m going to a movie tonight. I want to laugh. I think I will see “Another Gay Movie, the Sequel” Funny shit man!!

I am in love with my massage therapist. He is so sexy and he massaged Satan out of my lower back.
