Lynne Jordan | A Great Big Diva

Diva Maintenance

August 18, 2008 By //  by Lynne Jordan

Oh Dear!  And I bet the lot of you thought I was just naturally beautiful!!  Well, I have decided to take you on a couple of my beauty appointments (not all of ’em or you’d be here all day)  So enter the salon for manicure, pedicure & haircut.  I’d like to give a shout out to my longtime nail tech Felice who no longer graces the presence of this salon (their loss totally) and was not in this day. But Nella (nail tech in photos) rocks!!

And so first the ped. This is all shot from my prospective (in a chair)
Look at her filing away!! Ah! Anna my stylist has appeared to say hello. I will be seeing her in a bit. She is fabulous.
My two miracle workers

But finally my car metal green is done.
Whaddaya think? A bit too wild?
toes to go

Next up is my manicure!! Nella sits ready to work away again!

And now to Anna for the haircut! She is a great hair stylist.  Trust me, not everyone can cut African American natural hair.  Don’t let the blonde hair fool ya!! I love her to death and she gives me a perfect precision cut (no clippers, I ain’t no damned sheep!) every time! Love her!

Now that’s done, I think I will go for a little bite to eat! I love these evenings to myself. Beauty treatments then dinner.  Michigan Ave looks great. First Pres church is lit up, the sky is clear, there’s the John Hancock building.

And now to Mity Nice Diner: great comfort food and my favorite waiter and friend. I love this photo. He looks so happy to serve!!

After a yummy dinner and a martini…

I am homeward bound!!
