I tell ya folks, you can never sleep past noon in these times!! You wake up and the world has changed!!! Regarding Mrs. Palin and her resignation - color me "surprised." Frankly, I don't trust that hag. The fact that she was not laughed off the stage has always troubled me. Every time I look around I catch a glimpse of her twirling a baton in the wings... (I like my imagery better than her basketball analogy) So, is there some huge scandal about to surface? Or did her small taste of …
Did some singing, PMS
I had a blast! We did a two hour concert on Sunday night and I gotta tell ya... it's been a long time. It's a totally different vibe. Performing a concert on a big open stage for two hours is no joke. It's hard work cause every gesture, every movement must be so big - just so the audience can see ya. My memories stretch back for years: I can visualize scenes from basement birthday parties where the music of the Jackson 5 is the soundtrack. My first memorized pop song lyrics come to mind with his voice singing them: ABC, EASY AS ONE, TWO, THREE, AS SIMPLE AS DO RE MI, ABC, THAT'S HOW EASY LOVE CAN BE... I WANT YOU BACK, I'LL BE THERE... takes me right back to Jonetta Jones' …
Iran
I just viewed some of the footage shot by civilians (via cell phones) during the recent crackdown by Iran's Revolutionary Guard against the street demonstrations that have risen in Iran during the past week. The people are protesting what they see as a fixed election result. The recent "landslide" election victory of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad over opposition leader Mir Hossein Moussavi (the expected winner) has the Iranian people calling "foul!" and they aren't taking this one sitting …
