According to the Weather Channel, the temperature outside is 14 degrees Fahrenheit but feels like four degrees. I'm keeping my dogs warm with my doggy slippers! Just wanted to share a giggle with you all! Enjoy! …

Having problems leaving a comment on my blog?

February 9, 2011 By //  by Lynne Jordan

Check out this video for step by step instructions for leaving a comment for the first time. don't forget to check your SPAM folder for the initial password that Wordpress will send you so you can sign in the first time. I have to have the comments secured like this because of all of the "colorful" language I use. You wouldn't believe the porn spam that was coming through! Thanks and don't give up! I need to hear from you! Click on the "FAQS" link on the right margin of the blog for other …

The film: “Another Year”

February 9, 2011 By //  by Lynne Jordan

"Another Year" ain't for everyone. A friend said she didn't like it because "nothing really happens." That's exactly why I LOVED this movie. We get a peek into the life of Tom and Gerry, a past middle aged couple who still love each other, and are content with their lovely calm life. But they have a couple of pathetic, lonely, sad, over imbibing friends who come over and just blob on the couch. Each one is what you might call "a hot mess." You know the types, they hate what their lives …

The Amazing Adventures of Permanent Lifestyle Change Girl: Back at it.

February 4, 2011 By //  by Lynne Jordan

Missing In Action. That's what they'll say about me at the gym. I have fallen off the wagon. Oops! I wish I could blame it on "The Knee Chronicles" but I hopped off the ole' girl awhile before that. However, I am not discouraged. I figure as long as I am still living, I can improve my life. Taking care of myself, eating healthy and being fit is a goal that I am not about to abandon. I have adapted a new attitude. I woke up today and decided that I would pick up where I left off and start …

“A Small Act”

February 4, 2011 By //  by Lynne Jordan

I was deeply moved by the compelling Documentary "A Small Act" which tells the story of Kenyan Chris Mburu whose secondary education was sponsored via a monthly donation made by a Swedish woman named Hilde Back. He never met her. She simply responded to an ad announcing a Swedish scholarship program for poor kids in Kenya. Fast forward 35 years later and Mburu, now a Harvard Law Graduate, is an officer of the UN's committee investigating global cilvil rights abuses. He has created a …
