September 25, 2019 By //  by Lynne Jordan

Yes! Finally, it's coming for real or should I say IT'S HERE! I know there's been an under construction post on my homepage for ages, but I assume the new site is LIVE as you read this! My Digital Web Strategist, Adrienne McCue of AJW Media is the mastermind behind this beauty. She is indeed a master. She is technically adept with a great eye for design and she knows me so well because she also happens to be one of my best friends! Look around! Leave comments on this blog! Share with your …

Nothing Beats A Good Audience

September 24, 2019 By //  by Lynne Jordan

I’m so happy! One great night with a dream audience reminds me of who I am and why I never give up my art. I performed at Northalsted Market Days, a street festival smack-dab in the middle of Boystown in Chicago. In past years, I had brought in my seven or ten pieces as I was on the main stage that usually caught the attention of hundreds of festival-goers as they walked through the festival. This time, however, I was on the much smaller “Jazz/Cabaret” stage so I brought in a trio and I …

The Adventures of Permanent Lifestyle Change Girl: My Belly

September 24, 2019 By //  by Lynne Jordan

My constant battle of the bulge is more like the battle to conceal the bulge. I have mastered the fine art of "hiding my physical flaws" which include: my arms, my thighs, and my belly. I gained some weight. I gained enough weight that I can see the difference from photos taken two years ago. My face is fuller, my back thicker but the biggest change is my hanging belly. This sucker is new to me. I have been heavier before but I think my advanced age has messed with the elasticity of my skin ... …

The Adventures of Permanent Lifestyle Change Girl: No Girdle today!

June 14, 2018 By //  by Lynne Jordan

As I prepared this morning for my noon o'clock concert I reached for the long summer gown (with sleeves) and sandals to perform in, then I looked at the support garment (girdle) that I was planning to wear under it and then I glanced at the more athletic wear (wicking fabric long shorts and loose flowing brightly colored tunic) folded neatly, alongside sneakers which give me much needed support for my knees. I thought to myself: "standing elegantly but constricted in cute flat sandals with …

A Great Big Diva!: Never too late to make that dream happen!

October 17, 2017 By //  by Lynne Jordan

I am finally fulfilling a dream I've had for decades: writing & performing my own one woman show. It will be funny (of course) and it's a musical but I will also share a couple moments of heartache as well. I am collaborating with a monstrously talented writer in L.A. named Andrew Barrett and it's been an amazing experience. (all thanks to my "angels:" former Young & the Restless Head writer P kay Alden and her husband Vern Nelson) my producers: Ira Antelis and Tom McDonald.  Still, I …
