So My dears, I am actually writing regularly (my one woman show) and I have been working on a piece about gaining and losing and gaining and losing weight…I am so living that right now. I decided to look up obese in a Thesaurus and found some interesting terms. My favorite is “Falstaffian!” The definiton of which is:
“of or resembling Shakespeare’s character Sir John Falstaff in being fat, jolly, and debauched : a Falstaffian gusto for life.”
Now to my handy Thesaurus for some adjectives for “obese”
obese
adjective
fat, overweight, corpulent, gross, stout, fleshy, heavy, portly, plump, paunchy, potbellied, beer-bellied, broad in the beam, bulky, bloated, flabby, Falstaffian; informal porky, roly-poly, blubbery, pudgy, well-upholstered.
Hmmm…I think I like well-upholstered! Call me well-upholstered. I also have a couple new ones to add:
Fluffy, thick, Big-boned, heavyset, big black woman, mama…Like to add any? No insults please!
