Singing in Five Inch Heels

This is the real me on the inside... honest!
Just got home from a lovely two hours watching the lovely Jazz chanteuse
Erin McDougald sing with special guest
Kimberly Gordon at the Allerton Hotel lounge. She was adorable with her silky smooth vocals and sequined clad legs ending in patent leather five inch heels. Now don’t get me wrong. That is hardly the biggest impression I have from the evening. It was a lovely, chill evening of jazz from a Chicago Jazz Diva BUT I must admit as I hobbled home in my black leather cowboy boots (with patent & studded accents) all the while dreaming of my fuzzy slippers, I couldn’t help but ponder what I have become.
I sang last Saturday in stretch – yet flowing – wide legged pants and sneakers! I still brought the house down but I realized that glam has left me, not because of age, but weight. I swear to God that all these late nights of pasta, pizza and cheeseburgers has rendered my closet-full of stilettos, null and void. You’ve seen them. You see those golden ones with the metal platform? That’s who I used to be – about sixty pounds ago. There she was with those skinny limbs clad in black sequined cropped pants with those gorgeous heels and a tight red satin jacket. She looked awesome and the bitch probably just threw that outfit togehter cause: “well, it’s only Wednesday…” There is more to singing than just sounding good. You gotta look good and feel sexy. Right?
You know what this means? I’m gonna lose some fucking weight. Aw man… Here we go again.
